Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve collected answers to some of the most common questions that we are asked by homeowners, property owners, and managers who are considering building or remodeling a home with Timber Ridge Properties.
Q: How soon can I move into my new home?
A: It depends on the extent of the project. If you are building a new custom home, it typically takes 14 to 16 months from the time your permit is ready. No two homes we build are the same, so our time frames are a little longer than production or semi-custom builders, but the product you receive is incomparable.
If you are remodeling an existing home, the project can take anywhere from 3 months to 12 months to complete, depending on the scope of the project.
Q: How much will it cost to build a new home?
A: The million-dollar question (pun intended). All of our new homes and remodels start at or around $300 per square foot. We use a complex algorithm to compute the cost of your new home or remodel. All of our prices are based on the following variables:
- Square footage of your home
- Level of finishes selected
- The complexity of the foundation
- Special Considerations
Q: How will I know what to pick for finishes in my home?
A: You will have a team of professionals designated for your project. One of those professionals is a designer, who will walk you through every necessary selection. Your designer, or one of our qualified team members, will coordinate and accompany you to every selection meeting and guide you in the right direction to achieve your desired look.
Q: Who will manage my project?
A: Every project is assigned a dedicated superintendent, with extensive experience and background. Our supers are assigned no more than two projects at one time, so he/she is sure to be available and on-site as needed.
Q: How will you communicate with me/us?
A: Communication is the key component to a happy homeowner. We use a builder software called BuilderTREND that allows our homeowners to see all information pertaining to their project (i.e., pictures, calendar, selections, payments, etc.). In addition to BuilderTREND, we will be in constant communication via text, email, phone, on-site and in-office meetings. We are willing to communicate in whichever way is best for you.
